MY MEASUREMENTS, HEIGHT 1 METRE 52CM'S, BUST 32 INCH'S, WAIST 25 INCH'S.
Also bear in mind although we strive to make to a high standard we are not professional dress makers or a business, so there might some slight inconsistencies in the sewing.
This dress took 9 months to make, about 90% of it was hand only work, hardly any machine involvement, very labour intensive. We work hard to make everything as close as we can to the original movie version. The only time a machine was involved was to sew the seams together and put the zip in the back. An embroidery machine was used for the motifs.
It's made from Silver tissue crinkle silk and due to the fact it's natural fabric has some slight minor flaws in due to how it was woven,
The ivory skirt was made from 100% pure silk satin, It has a padded hem held together by French knots. The bodice consists of a layer of Silver satin, overlaid with tissue silk and gold lace on the front, then embroidered. The front centre motif was bought separately it is made from bullion wired which is incredibly expensive to buy. It has mushroom colour flower motifs around the front and down each side of the dress, these were all machine embroidered at home and each one has silver thread hand stitched in-between the design, took weeks to do!
The skirt has panels of silver chain stitch embroidery, this was all done by hand and this is what took up the majority of time.
The sleeves were made up in parts, of tissue silk, various lace and ribbon trims, beads, rope trim, bugle beads & more.
It's a heavy dress weight is 1kg 60 grammes.
Doesn't have to be used for the character could be used for anything as it's Italian Renaissance style 16th century period, or for something bridal etc.
This costume cannot be washed!
I advise you to store carefully and flat in a suitcase, do NOT hang this up for long periods to store it!
Dress measurements as follows:-
Bust 32 INCH'S
Waist 25 INCH'S
Centre front dress length 44 INCH'S
Back length from top of zip to end of train is 59 1/2 INCH'S
Sleeve length 24 1/2 INCH'S LONG
The next part is important as these measurements around sleeve at points below means your am measurement at those points must be slightly smaller to fit into the sleeve!
Measurement around middle of sleeve is 10 INCH'S
Measurements of cuff all the way around is 9 INCH'S
The wig is included for free but is a bit messy.
The shoes are not included sold separately have some slight wear underneath, worn twice!
Postage costs are expensive due to high value and it needing to be packaged in a large box, being very heavy really pushes the costs up.
I can't do anything about it, but even so, you're getting something of quality and unique for much less than it would cost to have one of these custom made with proper dress fabrics. To have something like this made for you would cost you at least 2 or even 3 times more than my asking price.
