You will notice, that not all our sewing is authentic Georgian (we have used a sewing machine for some parts).  But also, our techniques  have been taken from several sources.  A Georgian seamstress wasn't too bothered about the inside look of a garment (like the Tudors), but to some extent we have changed the style and hidden pleats.
TOTAL FABRIC AMOUNT USED FOR BACK, FRONT, SLEEVES, STOMACHER AND SLEEVE FLOUNCES - 7M 50CM.  YOU WILL NEED TO ADJUST THIS ACCORDING TO YOUR HEIGHT AND SIZE.

Fitting Instructions:

For the Under and Outer Petticoats you will need to measure from the side waist to the floor whilst you are wearing your Stays, pocket hoops and shoes.  For the Under Petticoat alone, you will need to measure the side waist, the centre front to the floor and centre back to the floor (see calculations in Under Petticoat in our instructions.)

Under Petticoat measurements, also measure centre back to the floor.  Our fabric is 112cm wide, cut two.
Bodice Liner Measurements:
Picture
Measure down from where you want your sacque to be, to the waist and allow for 1.5cm hem. Measure armhole to armhole, which should be wider than your Stay straps.

Back of the Sacque Meaurement:

Hold the tape measure just below the neck and diagonally down to the floor.  Depending on how much of a "train" you require will depend on where the diagonal line will be.

Picture
Measure from where you want the sacque to finish at the neck, diagonally down to the floor.  Tracy's measurement is 150cm.  Our fabric is 112cms wide and we will need to cut 2 pieces.
To make the whole gown I used just under 5 metres, you may need more depending on your measurements.

Front Skirt Measurement: From the side waist to the floor.  This measurement will depend on how close to the ground you want your skirt to finish.  We are making it about 2cms off the floor. See instructions above
