Making Scarlett's Wig
and Necklace

The wig was bought ready made from America http://www.thehistoricalhairdresser.com, this company also made our Giselle Wig.  If you cannot find what you want on their website, they are more than happy to help.  All we had to do was tie a narrow ribbon either side.

Making the necklace

We used white modelling oven bake clay, rolled into balls. The base is a circle of flat clay to build the spheres on. The gandle was a pear drop shape, this was put on the base first as it helps to keep it anchored to the clay.  Bake for the required amount of time.

To create the coral colour, we used Terra Cotta Acrylic craft paint and mixed it with white.   We then spray varnished it with gloss.

You will need 2 gold chains, keep the middle one as it is and superglue it to the backs of the rosettes.  These cut up a second chain and superglue 2 smaller chains either side.

This completes the necklace.

We managed to find a beach hat on Ebay, but any wide brimmed hat should do.

Cut a long strip of velvet and line it.  Find the middle front of the hat and attach the ribbon, leaving about 3cm poking out under the rim.  Only sew half way round.

Finish with a length of lace for the shawl and a pair of lace gloves.
This completes the dress.
