On the underside of the hat measure the circumference around the brim, measure from the brim to overlap the crown and cut a piece of fabric approximately twice this length. Make pleats approximately 2cm wide with a small pleat of approximately 1cm.
My first layer was pinked on the edge and using the same method, I pleated a strip of fabric wide enough to slightly go up the crown.
Having decided on my flowers, I hot glued them on.
